Manyanwa Village Cattle Dip, 2004
Description:
This cattle dip is located in Mazabuka District in Chief Mwanachingwala's Chiefdom in Manyanwa Village. The village has about one thousand cattle, and with out the cattle dip cannot control the simplest of diseases found in cattle. African Community Project supplied the funds for the bags of cement, the transport of the sand and gravel from the river, the poles from the forest and the labor costs to have the dip replastered. The community and the Chief contributed the labor and Phanwell Moonga, the Project Manager of the Mwanachingwala Conservation Area supplied the logistics and was my interpreter and a great help.
